Raindrops on Roses
Dear Beautiful One,
I am thinking of you today, wondering how you’re doing on this journey of life. Are you feeling all the Love you deserve? Are you embracing all the Beauty that comes your way? Can you see the Magic that exists just for you?
“Though we travel the world over to the find the beautiful,
we must carry it with us or we find it not.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
This past weekend, I had a vision of taking some photos outside in my backyard with a new dress I bought along with a gorgeous pink rose. I wanted a Sleeping Beauty picture for the Love Letter I am creating. I was open to the magic that nudged me to go to a local boutique and find the perfect pink dress amid blue and purple gowns that didn’t quite fit. I was drawn to a small flower shop and a woman who showed me exactly which flower would match my dress. I had a scene, a vision, in my mind for quite some time of exactly how I wanted to do this, and now I was ready. Saturday morning, I awoke to rain and frigid temperatures~not very fitting for pictures in my gown and crown. I really had my heart set on this, so when my love, Gregg, eagerly suggested he take the pictures on our screened-in back porch, it was only a matter of time before I agreed thinking this was more for him than it was for me. The whole time, he was smiling from ear to ear, so proud of his idea. I could see how much fun this could be, so I turned on some music and danced and played. The rain didn’t stop us at all, and it most likely enhanced the whole experience.
Dressed in spring pink with a rose in hand, I posed in front of a fall scene of rich reds and yellows while the rain fell, heavily at times. It wasn’t exactly as I had imagined it, but I began to see the beauty of it all. Gregg and I were outside together. We were having fun while I got to be myself, feel joy, and embrace the rain.
Beauty is all around you, and most of all it is within you. Beauty begins in every thought. Those thoughts have the power to transform your vision and the possibilities for creating the life you imagine. Once you decide to do something transformative, obstacles can pop up, challenges arise. Don’t let them stop you from finding the magic. Take the step anyway. Allow the imperfection to be beautiful!
